Android Game Developer
Join our game studio as an Android Game Developer to build high-quality mobile games for the Google Play Store as part of our Playtura platform. You'll work with Unity or native Android frameworks to create immersive gaming experiences optimized for the vast Android ecosystem. Our Playtura app offers 50+ free games and is growing fast — we need developers who can ship polished, performant games that delight millions of users. You'll implement game mechanics, optimize for diverse Android hardware, integrate monetization and analytics, and work alongside game designers and artists to bring creative concepts to life. This is a hands-on role where you'll see your work in the hands of real players every day.
Tech Stack
Responsibilities
- Develop and publish Android games using Unity or native Android SDK
- Implement game mechanics, UI, animations, and audio systems
- Optimize games for performance, battery, and memory on various Android devices
- Integrate Google Play Services (leaderboards, achievements, in-app purchases)
- Implement analytics, crash reporting, and A/B testing
- Work with artists and designers to iterate on game features
Requirements
- 2-5 years of Android game development experience
- Proficiency with Unity (C#) or native Android (Kotlin/Java)
- Experience with 2D and/or 3D game development
- Understanding of Android lifecycle, memory management, and performance profiling
- Experience with Google Play Console and app publishing
- Knowledge of game design patterns and architecture
Nice to Have
- Published games on Google Play Store
- Experience with multiplayer game networking
- Knowledge of AdMob and monetization strategies
